C16 or Clockwork

I'd go with it being a clockwork, definetly not a C16r. The best way as far as i know to tell a clockwork from a prestige is the brake lug on the wishbone. The prestige and P7 have a nicer machined type lug and the clockwork has one like yours.. I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure that this is the case. the attached pic shows the lug oon my P7.. the same as used on the prestige... I believe..

Sounds interesting, mine is def, a solid type and not the 'posh' one like on yours fella,... thanks.. any one else confirm this.. looks like I might have me self a clockwork then :)

Clockwork.

Having now seen the close up pix I'd put money on it. The original photos you posted with the bike against that background made the details hard to see, but that's deffo a Clockwork frame, probably 92 or 93 at a push but the cable routing moved sometime that year to the top tube.

Front mech cable routing and top tube "top" mounted guides with no chainstay bridge would say has to be a prestige. Weight should confirm this.

Just popped out to check on the chainstay bridge , and it does not have one, so next step I guess to confirm is to weigh the bare frame, anyone know what a clockwork/prestige frame should weigh ? :)

Well its a 19" framed model ? :) so if its around the 5lb mark then its a early clockwork then ... lighter it will be a prestige ? and we are saying around 92-93 ?

The scales will be out tomorrow  thanks for your help guys.. wanna get this one spot on .. so want to be sure.. :)
