I would go down , I can get nice coloured nipples a bit longer if I needed to .

559 is the wheel size. I really can't think of any kind way of suggesting why Mavic put the wheel size there instead of the ERD, which would actually be helpful.

Wouldn't it be nice if all rims had the erd on them , it wouldn't take much to add it to the massive stickers they put on .

Don't forget that the length is dependent on nipple length as well as they come in 12, 14, 16mm etc. I tend to round to the nearest even number, .4mm is nothing at all so I wouldn't worry, I've often rounded by more than a mm if it means I can get drive and non drive to be the same length with no ill effects

I would round down, too short by 1mm is still plenty long enough. 1mm too long could mean they do not tighten up as much as you would like.

... of course it depends on what the 'calculator' is designed for. I think wheelpro and edd/spocalc are designed for rounding down. unless is close to the one above say 255.6 would go to 256 if no 255 available but 255.3 would go to 254 if no 255 available.

and wheelpro you also need to take 1mm of if using the 14mm nipples CRC provide with DT spokes. (say in the book )
