Has anybody bought a frame from Italy?

If so how much postage did you pay to teh UK?

I won a frame on ebay.it earlier this week and IMO the seller is taking the p*ss with the shipping rate!

cheers
Kev

I seem to remember another post saying that to ship a set of bars would be about 40 eur - so I would imagine a frame is a lot. I think Italy is expensive....

not what you wnated to hear I guess - sorry.

There are 'issues' regarding the postal service in Italy, loads of things go missing or get damaged (in my experience) so the insurance is pretty much vital and this does push the price a little higher than most euro countries.

thanks Pete, but £62.50 is taking the.....

shipping a frame can be done "quite cheap in general" but on ebay people tend to rip you of on shipping costs. it makes me go crazy!

bought a breezer from Italy a while back, properly packed from a bike shop cost €100.

ONE MOMENT: the responsiblle for the communication of those incredibly high shipping prices is ME  or better, my post office where I was told the prices for the EXPRESS COURIER. Actually the prices for normal shipping are much lower. I'll try to find out....
