It's going to have a few scrapes for what is a nearly 20 year old frame.
There can be some "confusion" between panteras and zaskars. And the idea of a zaskar having a flat cap, being made from 6061 and having a serial number involving its date of manufacturer is a good starter, but not always true. Currently lurking under my bed is a 94 zaskar, but there is no s/n on the rear dropout. But it is a zaskar.
The safest way to buy one is most likely via this forum. Ebay has it's bargins like my 97 frost red frame for £80 last year. But like most things ebay, there are a few crooks and a few simpletons that really don't know any better.
Given the s/n then the current ebay frame is an early one, consistant with the lack of a rear drop out and the size of tubing. Personally I'd be shitting myself riding that in a stump-riden wood. Take out the rear mech and the frame could be toast. Saying that, I'd quite fancy an early frame as well. The polished frames (or ball burnished-whatever that really means) do tend to get confused for panteras, or vise-versa. Usually the frames that look like zaskars and are anodised, are Zaskars.
