Build up - What's your thought on this?

I've decided to build up my '89 killi flyer and I can remember there being an issue with the back wheel spacing. The wheel from the 97 marin fits but is off set to the left slightly. I remember years ago re setting the wheel to suit but this time I want to make sure I'm doing the right thing. Should I have a different hub or something.

Can you measure the space between the rear drop outs?
It is possible the newer (1997) hub is wider than what was spec'ed back in the day. Can ya post a photo of said wheel of it in the frame?
