build ideas

am soon to be the owner of a 94/95 avalanche frame and just mulling over a suitable build.

i'm thinking kore seat pin/stem/bar combo
lx groupset

er.. some shiny bits.

anyone else have a similar age avalanche and what's the build like?

It's not a avalanche but a 1992 Zaskar wich I build up last week. build it with the XT730-735 groupset, cookbros cranks and kore stem and azonic bar. Havent been the right weather to make some picures.

Kore will do good on the avalanche i think, icw mag21? You donthave to use much shiny bits, it will be overdone too fast is my opinion. the Zaskar is alu with black, only colour is the red/orange GT logo on the frameset and the golden Mag21.

Martin is right - kore stuff always looks nice on GT's (probably cos they specced it as OE on some high-end models)

kore stem and post (black)

period XT throughout.

add bling touches to taste.

95 *just* allows you to get away with a judy. not many bikes look good with a bronze early judy XC, but this one would.
