Build advice needed - Pace RC200 - NOW FINISHED

Your USE seatpost should have the sticker at the front, with the sticker at the back it is in effect on backwards. All the USE seatposts I have ever seen have all had the sticker at the front, the only mention I have ever come across of stickers at the back is on this site.

As for the 'don't use USE posts with Pace frames'... again another retrobike only theory. I know several Pace owners who run USE posts, myself included, no problems on any front as far as I know.

Too much red? Yes absolutely, ditch the workstand!

I agree in this case but I don't think its a rule, my old post had the sticker at the back. This let the anchor pin sit horizontally, which it isn't here.

Cracking build too  8) I agree with the change of post though, I think even a carbon one to go with the fork legs would be the business.

Cheers guys - good advice

I'd not heard the one about USE posts being a no-no on Pace frames. Running a USE Carbon Alien on my RC300 with no problems.

Am thinking carbon post might be the way forward on this build as well now - anyone want to buy a Red USE post? :)

And the stand matching the frame is a pure co-incidence - didnt realise it was red when I ordered it :)

My F5 workshop manual states: 'Do not use a "shimmed-type" seatpost.'
Although Pace themselves produced a shim for smaller diameter seatposts later on (29.4mm being a difficult size to get hold of). Go figure! Maybe the folks at Pace didn't like the folks at USE!
