EggyBum6969 I feel your pain, I have tried several types of Hydraulic brakes, whilst they offer eye-ball popping stopping power I have never had a set that I was truly happy with, they always seem to need constant tweaking, and many a time I was out on a ride and found myself with brakes that were creeping on :x
V brakes for my next 2 build, cheap, easy to set up and very little to go wrong with them

i dont blame you bud

i feel the same an im glad i never sold my v's
theres such a big margin for error there should be a 2 minor adjustment screws or something to widen each pad half a mil at a time
i wanted to be able to just swap wheels out for quickness
rather then swapping tyres or rotors each time.
these brakes were pre made up an aside from swaping the crown race from my old fork which my brother took off an lbs put on2 the new, ive rebuilt this all myself an its been great
so for the brakes to now be making me hate it is really crappy
i dont think it should be that hard for them to make an easyier install an adjust caliper
i dont mind an extra gram or too if the dam things were more simple an reliable
i think ile just put my old 3rd party rotor on the winter wheel later an see how i go
if its ok then i must have bent the xt doing the velcro on lever then tighten method
i cant even think stright right now i get so annoyed with this
hats off to mechanics they must get stressesed out with disc brakes
