BSA Regal Bike Identification

ChiBikeRestoration

Retro Newbie
Hi guys,

This is my first post, stumbled across this site and it seems a decent place to get involved with what I am doing. Started up a hobby/business to transform bikes ready for the scrap heap to full rebuild and restore for road use again. Currently on my 3rd project but I cannot for the life of me find anywhere where I can trace the frame number. I have found a number on the seat post clamp which I believe to be the correct place for BSA Regal bikes? The code is: 794622.

If anyone would like to see my current work head to Instagram @chibikerestoration for a closer look.

Any help or directions to find the age of the bike would be brilliant.

Many thanks in advance, and I hope to be fairly involved with this site for a while to come. Hi all!!

BSA stopped production in 1958. After that Raleigh badged some bikes BSA.
This has some aspects of a Raleigh frame from 60 /70's with much later components. If so it would have had 26 TPI head and bracket threads.
