Brooks sadle

I've got a swift on my Raleigh Randonneur :) I very nearly gave up on it as it was the most uncomfortable seat I'd ever sat on at first

It took a good year to be anywhere near comfortable but its like a comfy armchair now

I had a B17 on my commuter for years and loved it, you form a bond with these saddles thats a bit weird, but get one you'll not regret it. If you have a large saddle/bar drop though they can be a wee bit unforgiving on the nose, more suited to sit up riding IME

Broken in nicely:

Best saddles in the world (except my first proper flite, but that's purely sentimental!)

Dude,

I've got a few Brooks and would have more if my pocket book would let me...best cycling item to come out of England!

My Honey Ti Swallow saddle is by far the most comfortable as it is longer than the others and more hammock like. Total comfort.

Plus, it just looks yummy. (I'm such a bike geek  )

cheers,

rody

I love brooks saddle.
I have one on my 2 very old C'dale (a classic steel frame-honey on the 86, a black swallow on the 88)
The saddle is very very very comfortable in off road. I prefer the titanium frame : it's like a rear suspension. But you nead to ride with this saddle a long time .

2 weakness for the brooks in mtb :
First : a brooks is very comfortable if ou don't move a lot on your saddle : Fork exemple, when you hve to climb and when you want to be seat on the front of the saddle… aïaïaïaïaïaïaïaïaïaïaïaïaïaïaï :?
Secondly : I had an antique brown saddle on my titanium… the only saddle to be on a titanium bike. Very beautifull, confortable. I always put specific grease on it, but 5 year I have bought it, the leather broke in the middle, in a very rainy and muddy day… A brroks need a lot of care !!!
