I had a B17 on my commuter for years and loved it, you form a bond with these saddles thats a bit weird, but get one you'll not regret it. If you have a large saddle/bar drop though they can be a wee bit unforgiving on the nose, more suited to sit up riding IME
I love brooks saddle.
I have one on my 2 very old C'dale (a classic steel frame-honey on the 86, a black swallow on the 8
The saddle is very very very comfortable in off road. I prefer the titanium frame : it's like a rear suspension. But you nead to ride with this saddle a long time .
2 weakness for the brooks in mtb :
First : a brooks is very comfortable if ou don't move a lot on your saddle : Fork exemple, when you hve to climb and when you want to be seat on the front of the saddle… aïaïaïaïaïaïaïaïaïaïaïaïaïaïaï :?
Secondly : I had an antique brown saddle on my titanium… the only saddle to be on a titanium bike. Very beautifull, confortable. I always put specific grease on it, but 5 year I have bought it, the leather broke in the middle, in a very rainy and muddy day… A brroks need a lot of care !!!
