Hi Guys,

anybody here with experience of using a Brooks saddle on his MTB or CC?

i know there are not lightweight but they look comfortable and on the right bike they might look great

I want to get one for the Pace.

The ti. ones aren't actually too bad weightwise - well about 350g or so compared to 200 odd for a flite...

Got a few friends who swear by them and I think Melvin is a fan - but might be changing his mind about them...

...not sure if that's mainly based on the cliche of them and singlespeed builds though...

I think they look great- I have one on my commuter... I think they reward the rider who spends hours in the saddle at a time- for quick blasts get somethin else...
Take 1000 miles to break in (I think I read that somewher) , if your anything like me on a mtb you spend half the time out of the saddle so make that 2000 miles

Except for the weight, that was the saddle of choice BITD (70's-early 80's).Breaking it in was always the hard part, but once broken in-like a baseball glove- it matched your butt perfectly and was supremely comfortable. I used various oils and a judicious pounding with a baseball bat to speed up the break-in process.

I've always heard that brooks saddle broke in you, rather than the actual saddle breakin in!
i'd love a swift ti in honey leather 8)

I need distance behind the bracket. The Swift is shapped in such way that it positioned more forward on the bike than with an average seat. Didn't work on my Yo.
