It's the holidays, so I thought I'd see if this thread gets any traction. I'll start with a Nuke Proof front hub. Weight is probably around 88 grams (okay, I'm exaggerating). These hubs are light, bombproof.

Hehe! Love these posts over the holidays <3 Yep ironic with the brandname always see them with cracked eyelets :p
Lots of these early 90s premium hubs crack at the eyelets, Ringles esp, CKs etc. Radial spoking is a hub killer and best to back of the spoke tension a few turns on garage queens, if they are being left for a long time 🤔

Still got my minty 91 carbon original NP wheels on the kids Ti FAT. Never had hubs break on me luckily but I always wind down spoke tension.

That’s a good shout, haven’t got enough room for a garage queen but definatly take care of my kit, and frequestly change rides (rotate in attic time haha) <3

Tiny dab of v light oil in each nipple and make sure you wind off each spoke by the same number of few turns ( stick a label on wheels saying how many turns ), jobs a good un and far less likely to pick the bike up one day and find disaster has struck your £500 wheelset 🤨
