So... I have had many requests for this... I really don't know what to ask for it??

someone suggested I put it up on ebay as a $1000 Buy it Now or best offer and see what happens... I didn't think they were worth that much to be honest but after asking around these past couple days it seems they are quite in high demand

I'm more or less basing the price on what I would need to pay down the road... I don't need them now but eventually I will wish I never sold them... so I have to sell them at a price in which I could always re-buy another set...

Apparently there were only 700 gatorblades made... Correct me if I'm wrong but that's what I was told

The steer is short (see pics for length) but it is 1"... I have had steers extended MANY times... so you could do this (or have a new one pressed in?)... once you extend it you may have to go threadless unless you have a tall head tube (to extend it an insert is usually added behind the joint and this blocks the quill from going in...

As for condition, what you see is what you get... From visual inspection everything seems in order... but this is an old used fork so I have to sell it AS-IS... feel free to ask any questions...

It will be going on eBay at $1000 Buy it Now or best offer next week... Thought I'd offer it up here first...

Lets say $750 US... ??

More pics below in next posting..

last one on ebay went for about $800 if I remember correctly?
figuring you're referring to these? NOS and listed in the "inflation" land of Germany

so asking price for this fork i'd say is very "optimistic" given the condition and length of steerer. but hey, if this does sell then perhaps i'll list the spare i have up for sale that has similar 1" steerer length. ;)

I knew you would chime in =)

In the wild land of eBay anything can happen... They will be listed next week at $1000 or best offer on eBay... Just listed them here first as a courtesy =)

And hey... If they do sell I'll put up my other 1" gator too (both have short steers but easily lengthened as which was done with the one on my climbmax)

Yep that is the auction... to be fair that auction started out at 1 euro and was open to worldwide bidders ( I took a stab at it). For a NOS one that is the best way to see market value as it takes two bidders to go that high.

I bet if you but this up on eBay my guess is market value is somewhere around $450-$500. Not sure how much rarer the 1" version is vs the 1 1/8 version. Either way, these forks look great and are ubber rare. Can't say much for how they ride though.
