The flite is a bit of a clincher for me as it is all I ever use both modern and retro. I don't blame you at all for hanging on to it but I would then have to go searching which I find a pain.

I will have a little think, the drive is putting me off as well. On another subject why can't I pm I know I am useless with tech am I missing something?

Regards Richie

I don't think you can go far wrong with this bike at that money, the pics are quite exact and steve has recovered it well from an average bike into a stunning example

understandably the drive is a distance but if you bought it you could get it sent to you for around £15..as per flites..there are always some around

Agreed, excellent bike and usually pretty easy to find filtes on here or eBay.
Go for it :)

I agree the bike is good value and it is a lovely piece of eye candy. However I have lots of bikes and have never bought one before riding it. I know I could get a flite but it is just another search to put on the bike that I just liked the look of and dont really need.

For these reasons I am going to leave it but if in the near future I am anywhere near Silverstone I will be contacting you Steve to see if the bike is still available.

On another note this site is fantastic and I will be trying with my limited computer skills to add some pics of my own builds to my profile and maybe sell some of the stuff I dont use to people who will appreciate it.

hey ho, no worries,

I drove 130 miles each way to pick it up, and I never rode it til I'd rebuilt it.

tbh, this bike deserves to retain its original saddle, as they're impossible to find, whereas Flite's are two-a-penny

typebump

Maybe I have made too much of the flite but it was mint and period which I don't have. In terms of keeping bikes original parts I quite agree with you as I understood it if you had sold the flite the original saddle would have come with it like the bars and stem. My point is that when I ride a bike I like to be comfortable and if changing the saddle does it so be it.

I understand what you say about collecting the bike and not riding it but am I not right in thinking you had ridden one years ago and therefore knew the bike. I am not in that position.

Anyway I used to be indecisive but now I'm not so sure, if you still think I am a worthy owner of your bike I would very much like to purchase it including the tyres in the pics and am about to try and send you a pm now I have reached my 5 posts.

Steve

Can confirm would like whole bike as in the pictures including tyres. Sorry for all the indecision and I have tried to send you a pm again hope it gets there.
