Don't get me wrong, a replica is very flattering.

Just make it a replica though, rather than trying to suggest it is an improvement.

I have some old bikes, and I love them for what they are. I wouldn't want some half measure improvement.

My neighbour has modern suspension, brakes and wheels on his 30s Bugatti. That is a reasonable adjustment, and the heart of the car remains.

Going to inaccurate tubes and such on a replica just screams half measures for me. It does look great though, but not for that money!

Agree. Bugatti eh? Very nice! I'd like to find an older Ham or Breezer some day but that WTB kit is a at whole other level of rare. I feel fortunate to have simply found a WTB drop bar for my Ala Carte'. Thanks for pointing out the replica fact though! Cheers!
