Brazed to unicrown

Quick question for the Raleigh crew, when did the 501 framed road bikes start using unicrown forks instead of brazed forks. Just trying to gauge age to within a decade of a beat up old 501 frameset I have in my shed. Don't know what model either as no decals. It also has the brake cable passing through the top tube.
