313 Euros - tempted to take my set off (with a full set of rings) and flog 'em!

NOS, boxed is half the value.

not when you cant get them for love nor money.

NOS Klein would not be half price

thanks andy

The brakes I can live with missing out on....it's the hubs I really needed and got clipped by a euro or two by a sniper on those also :( :(

I would not worry about the hubs to much there are loads of after market hubs that can compliment m900 groupo. nice pair of polished chris king or ringle. I would have been pissed if i missed that chainset

thanks andy

so, just to clarify - you've interpreted my opinion to be that NOS makes bike parts worth less?

In a way yes due to the fact I can go buy a brand new XTR chainset m970 or what ever the latest is from any bike shop in the land for £300 but the chances of a m900 chainset coming on the market NOS is very rare so I have no choice but to pay whatever to get it. Lets say i have a nightstorm adroit Klein in my garage in a box which has never been opened then the price for that would go sky high. The more you need somthing the more someone can ask in cash.

A E type jaguar that has never been used would be worth a lot more than any new Jaguar.

thanks andy

I think i did, all I read was NOS boxed half price

thanks andy

ovlov440 saw the final selling price for the cranks and posted that he was tempted to sell his. He stated that he would need to 'take them off' to do so. I took it that his were mounted, therefore not NOS.

I said 'NOS, boxed is half the value' i.e. if NOS, boxed M900 cranks are worth £300, half that value is the fact they are NOS and still in the box; implying that his are probably only worth £150 (and more like £50 if they're scuffed or have damaged logo's).

Anyhoo, did you actually win the auction?
