Brake pads...

Retro Newbie
Hi y'all,

Bit of a strange question: What's a good "modern retro" brake pad to be running in my old Dia Compe cantis on my '93 Clockwork?

Retro looks with modern power - does such a thing exist?

Cheers :D

Pat.

kool stop or swiss stop are the best imo, possibley the best pads from back in the day, they can still be got, but i dont know if they are still being made or if the many that are about were made BITD, either way they havent changed so would suit the build no problems.

The vbrake design pads but with stud holders. fibrax make them. you can the pick your rubber to suit. I like the triple compound versions for mud and winter. in fact even for the dry but not needed so much then.
a search of the forum will bring up this question a few times.

EDIT add, I mean these. Once you've worn those pads out, go try some other replacements. you have plenty of choice then as they are the same a v-brake

and my fetish is for these

They are chunkier though and you do need to crape the grounce out every now and again. But then you need to look after any brake block really.
