Brake Levers - which way round?

Why Andy i thinks thats the answer, makes perfect sense ,tis all to do with what side of the road you drive on for turning right then

The standard when you are having a dog and you are right handed should be the british way. I really have to change to that. :D

To me the british way makes a lot more sense as most people are right handed and the front brake is generally the one you have to modulate more.

+1

Andy, Your answer sounds spot on. Thanks.

I just have to decide what 'convention' I let my kids use. They're growing up here in Holland and will probably get used to the system here. Have to watch out when they're big enough to borrow my bikes that they dont end up a over t.

Have favoured the English traditional way (seemed right, coming from a motorbike background)..

But have done them the other way round on the new ride, the standard way would have made for very awkward cabling imo..

I use the US way, always have done since my first bike.... rear brake = right hand. Just works for me, think it's more a case of each to their own.

That's the british way.
