brake levers & leverage

i've seen some nice Avid SD 2.0 Brake Levers on ebay, but am unsure if they've cantiliver compatible - so how do i find out? :? Unless anyone knows this specific model; I'm guessing that as most levers are about the same length it's a matter of know far the lever pivot point is from the cable attachment (thus knowing the leverage ratio)?

any ideas/help pointers?!

Some of the Avid levers have a 'speed dial' which can is used to alter the leverage, might be enough to make them work with cantis.
