i have two brakes, i need one for front and one for back (obviously  ) the problem is, they have long hoses, theyre both long enough for rear but one needs to be front. im not sure which to cut though, one is slightly shorter than the other. i cant work out if by cutting the longer one, i will have enough for a front?! measurements on their way

measurements are 1400mm and 1600mm (approx)
the shorter one doesnt seem too bad for the rear now
\/that hurt my head too :?

If the shorter hose is enough for two fronts:
Cut the longer one to fit the rear and see how much offcut you have left.
If it's enough for the front then job done with spare hose that's good for the front or rear. If the offcut is too short, too bad you were gonna get an offcut anyway. At least you'll end up with a front from the other hose and enough for a spare front left over.

If the longer hose is enough for 2 fronts:
Cut the shorter one for the rear and throw away the offcut. You'll have enough spare for a front.
