So I purchased some NOS diacompe Jr. levers for my wife's Eroica bike. Unfortunately they didn't come with the part that the cable housing rests in. I have an old pair of Diacompe's, but the housing rest (for lack of a better term) is permanently fixed. What should I do? I don't think I can run them without the housing rest. I don't want to trash the original Diacompes.

Heh, didn't think you'd be able to just buy them. Thanks. As it is I managed to gently ease them out of the original pair with a flat headed screw driver.

I've got plenty of them in my stash. Weinmann ones are the same and they also come in a plastic version.
