I was hoping this would get under the radar as I quite fancy it. Real shame about the top tube though- tried to contact a friend of a friend who could sort that out but no joy.

I once had the oppertunity to take a closer look at an Intrepid Ti. It was and still is one of the most impressive frames I have ever seen.

Looking closely at the sellers pics ...it looks like there's something missing from the non-drive side pivot(?)

I've mailed the seller to ask- will post when I get a reply.

very tempted by the Ti Boulder - how serviceable are the rear shocks?

They are a Risse Genesis rear shock so all parts should still be available
Though on this bike it is the standard Genesis not the Clydesdale version (aka Clydeglide), I found standard shock not as tuneable (but weighs bugger all). http://risseracing.com/boulder.shtml

I also kept a copy of the Defiant/ Intrepid swingarm bushing installation instruction which I copied off the Boulder web site if you need it.

So is that extra gusset above the bottom bracket an extra weld or repair? Anybody have a picture of this part from another Defiant Ti?

The weld bead looks larger on this section than on the other parts of the frame. Would be a bummer if it had been cracked.

Speculations? Anyone?
