Bought my first road bike today, not highend but a nice Claude Butler from around the early 80's, not too heavy and the frame has a nice ping when you flick it.
colour and headbadge look like this...
Wienmann 999 brakes and a simplex rear mech. (it's a 5 speed)

I'm making a winter commute bike but want to make it so it will do some real miles in the summer I need to skim some weight off it for that so it will be getting the dura-ace hubbed wheels john gave me and the brooks b15 saddle I picked up for £2 not that this is light.
I'll put up picks later, but for £15 I'm quite pleased.
The place had loads of old bikes to choose from all at £15, but I don't know much about them - I assume they are all mostly low range stuff but here are some names...
Sun (of nottingham)
Triumph
Marlborough
Murray USA
Karlhoff
Dawes 531 Tourer (bit too rusty for me)
Quite a few 80's raleighs too
I just took the lightest one I could find that fitted me.
