Bottom bracket newbie question

Would you mind sharing the frame number for my records? Looks something like DE418?

I have quite a few Italian BBs spare, including the UN7X I took out of my TR-X. It's generally easy to find some very nice Italian ones.
Thanks mate
I can’t believe Marco wanted to scrap the frame because of the BB
I’m hoping you can tell him what a classy frame he has there

@Jimmy2021 Did you weigh the frame when it wads stripped? These are beautiful frames and very light. Aside from the Italian BB, everything else will be standard, but if you ever feel like scrapping it let me know and I'll happily swap it for a frameset with a British ISO BB shell.

Nice to see you have the original Scapin branded fork too.

Is that a ‘95 ? Wondering whether these had Cantis as standard
I’d put Cantis on it rather than V’s

Good question. It appears to have the noodle for cantis which was gone by 1996, but also the chainstay mounts which weren't there on the 1995 models. My guess is that at this point they were making mid-year models and this is a mid-year 1995, but someone based in Italy might be able to give more information. Some serials have two letters and my suggestion based on the serials I have so far is that these could be mid-year models, but I don't have enough serials to be certain.

The Judy is Scapin branded but whether this was standard with the frame set I don’t know
They lack a canti mount so if they were sold with the frame then it’s likely later than 95

I'll try to remember to check the Italian BBs when I go to my storage on Friday. Are you wanting a 107mm rather than the 113mm you have?
I need advice on this front.
I put the italian cups that were on the 107mm bb on my other bb which is 113mm.
Tried a dry fit on the bike and the chainline meadured 47/48mm, so perfect accordingly to sheldon brown.
Should I stick to the 113mm or trust the 107mm that was there originally?
Or it doesn't make much difference anyway?
