Bottom bracket newbie question

Hi, that seems to be the same size as the original.
I suppose I can use one of my cups for the missing one in yours.
Are cups all the same? (Apart from thread of course)

I think you would have to be quite the purist to worry about 3mm difference. Assuming that is shared equally by each side then is your chain going to even notice the difference of 1.5mm, and it will be wider so no problem with chainstay clearance.

Thanks, but I didn't consider that despite the option to swap cups, the other bb I have is 68mm, so I suppose it's no good for my frame, or is it?

Ok, please tell me where I'm wrong.
I took both cups out of my other bb, 68mm 113mm axle.
The bodies of both bb have identical measurements, to the tenth of mm, measured with a caliper.
Cups have also exactly same dimensions, except for the thread of course.
Once fitted cups on other bb, the 113mm one, the measurement from end of loose cup to drive side cup collar is exactly 70mm.
The only difference between the 2 bb is just the collar I pointed in red.
Can I fit this or is 113mm too long?
Or is there another better reason for things not to work?

If it's only a matter of axle length, I can just buy any 107mm bb with removable cups and replace the cups with mine, correct or totally wrong?

Looks like a quality piece.

Someone here will happily pay you something for it.
OK, peanuts, as they are all tight as a gnats chuff (😉) but more than the scrappie will offer.

If you want to build it back up for nothing though, you might be disappointed.

I'll root around tomorrow, but I sell bike stuff for a living🙁
It’s a superb frame
A Barco brothers built top of the line Italian frame.

You should be fine with 113 mm instead of 110. Easiest way is just to try it and check the clearance with your cranks.

Would you mind sharing the frame number for my records? Looks something like DE418?

I have quite a few Italian BBs spare, including the UN7X I took out of my TR-X. It's generally easy to find some very nice Italian ones.
