Sorry - been a bit slow on replying. Posted late, got stuck with work stuff and only just remembered I asked anything :facepalm:

King cage looks quite nice, tbh. Might go for that and keep the existing pump brackets (as pump is black). Thinking that the silver might go nicely with the polished frame.

Blackburn stainless cages are cheap (relative to Kings) @ $19. Thin and unobtrusive. The stainless Ahearne Spaceman is kinda pricey @ $35+shipping, but it's hard to fit a flask in a conventional cage.

It's already been said but Blackburn stainless steel cages are very nice and very light too. Switchback is the 4mm MTB one and Chicane is the 3mm roadie one.

Sounds like blackburn might be a better option actually. Certainly a lot cheaper, which gives me cash to start looking at saddles.

Not exactly period (tho using a bottle is retro enough) I picked one of these up dirt cheap on ebay.

Great if you want solid/primary colours rather than metal/ano.
