Bottle cages... hmmm...

OK, so - bottle cages. Yes I know everyone rides with camel backs and bladders strapped all over the place these days but I'm old fashioned. I like a bottle. Need some ideas though - have a slightly worn black metal / plastic cage on the Zaskar atm (see page 3 of link in sig) with clamps to hold my pump. Thing is - I fancy something a bit nicer - just not sure what to go for. Most people seem to jump a Ringle but not quite my scene - a bit too much metal/size in them and seem to draw the eye to them rather than the bike.

So - any other ideas? What cages does anyone else use?

If your not specifically looking for a retro cage then the King Cage titanium waterbottle cage is probably one of the best you can get.

And if you want to solve the pump issue, Lezyne do an alloy cage with an integrated pump holder.

Plain, simple, lightweight, strong; and period correct

almost anything really.

use some washers under the mounting bolts and that will help your cage last longer. metal cage is good since you can bend it to make it hold the bottle tighter/looser.
