As mentioned already : Tact and I'll add diplomacy. That way others may want to join in.

*Harry Hall is a long established Manchester bike shop with many fans - any comment at all would have been better than stonewalling. All it does is reinforce the often perceived snobbery and elitism that can spoil RB - a simple 'I dont like it because...' would assist me and others as to what makes the perfect RB BotM entry.

Sorry LGF, you ask for assistance, its only a point of view.

Cursory glance was all I gave it, you'd rather that than stonewalling.

Did you get to the bottom of who the builder was...?

Bluemells or Autostrada Engineering.

Do you think it might be a Saracen frame resprayed then...? Or the same as...?

Im not as up on the detail as I should be..

Rear brake on the Proflex is funky eh?! Would like to see one of those in the flesh I can't quite get my simple brain around it. 8)

And I think I have a my favourite already ;) 8)

Never had an A* before. That looks like quite a big frame but really short in the top tube?

Not sure how Jim feels about the geometry Adrian, or even how the 91 Al Mega compares to its contemporaries, but here's the tech data for you (it's a 17.5"):

Yuppers :)

It's a 17.5" ... this is one of those bikes that fits me perfectly. The big tubing is sort of deceiving. It has about a 22.25" effective top tube which is just about perfect for me. It's a very comfy bike to ride and super fun.

Re:

Love the A*'s, now we're talkin' 8)

Mauricier, if you're entering your Merlin (oo-er!) then get another pic up and a link to the build thread if it has one?

The stand over just looks huge for a 17.5" - maybe it's just the angle of the photo?

Noka78's 1991 Rocky Mountain Summit RL

I got this nice Summit from Spike a few month ago. Thanks again for this beauty!

In the last weeks i swapped the silver with black parts from Ritchey.
The stem became a white paint like in the RM catalogue pic from 1991. Then i changed also the saddle - i choose the pearl white Ritchey Logic. The tires are Ritchey Duro K Force 2.0 WCS now. Enjoy...
