Klein Adroit

Here is a bike that was helped along by several members of this forum...I bought the small purple chainring from retrobikeguy, the large chainring from slimjoe, and the seatpost from elite504. Thank you all for your help.
When I bought this frame last May I had decided that I wanted to use the cantilever brakes that I already owned, however this particular frame was set up for v-brakes and it didn't have a noodle or cable guide installed. Because the steer tube is oversized I had to get a 1-1/4" cable guide and then dremel out the inside. I got lucky that the cable guide I found was thick enough to maintain it's integrity while having half of the metal shaved off. My main complaint of the final product is that the gold cables don't really seem appropriate for the build. The gold cables looked OK at the bike shop, but not so good installed.

Elevated Chas Roberts prepped for MM08 - we think it's 1989/90 vintage. Mostly original Camagnolo gruppo (we can say 'gruppo' can't we..?!)....

No of course we can't say 'gruppo', for goodness sake! And as for getting Campagnolo wrong.......

Very nice bike though, as are many of the others, looking to be a strong month already and I bet there are some other beauties out there.

To Defiant: Always loved Boulder's sus. bikes - that seat tube/top tube junction must be soooooo strong! Please get some silver Ringle hubs though! :P

To Mr K: Can we have some close-ups of the original paint please? And if it's 7-speed then surely you need some Campagnolo thumb shifters!

To D.G: Purple on purple! 8) I think you're right about the cables though, possibly skewers as well? Go the whole hog - get some purple ones on there!

All of the bikes so far are out of this world if you can excuse the cliché, can we do a "it looks quite nice.... bike of the month" so I can enter one of mine
