I have a pair of TT's on my bike and theyre looking a bit on the tatty side
Should i cut them off or leave as is.

I like the look without but im not sure if the seals are good enough to be exposed to the elements
I think it also seems to make the fork look thinner and not as imposing and clunky.
I might also lose the decals :?

Yes they're ugly but they are there for an engineering reason. Keeping my shock boots on has kept my stanchions in great nick with very little maintainance. I've never needed to replaced a seal on my Quadras - had them since 92/3. Only pumped them up about 5 times.

I would keep them on.

I have some on my Future Shocks and 1 set of my 21's.

I rate them highly, and will be getting some for my other 21's and my Pro Circuits when I use them.

votes even steven
given that its a judy TT,as basic as basic gets,i dont think the seals do that great a job, theyre not like bombers that are filled with oil, last time i looked inside there was a teaspoon of oil
And given that i dont take it out when wet and its unlikely ever to see mud
Im just hoping to make them better looking

ER.....No,I am thinking of taking the boots i have off, thats what the poll is about
Not that im needing some

I thought the poll was about taking them off cos theyre "looking a bit on the tatty side". Hence the offer for sale of some in good nick. No?
