Does anyone happen to have a (or two)
Marzocchi Z2 Retainer cup

going on for my Z2 superfly as mine is damaged and cannot use the forks now, but I believe it's the same for all these forks.

Part 15 in the picture, goes on the damper/slider thing and stop it coming through the lower legs when you clamp them in at the bottom.
Should be Aluminium. ?

Is any of this of any use??

It's a bomber.. but a late one with the 'M' brace. . .

The wizardry that is fork internals are beyond me, just thought when you said "the same for all these forks" you may have meant all bombers rather than all Z2's. . .

If you know which model and year I can check the internals in the manuals, but the crown looks like none I recognise ?)

Probably as i'm stuck in pre 2000 and maybe as late as 2002 for the bomber forks would use it. I don't know :s

Part 15 is usually an aluminium nut which is anodised red. It has 10mm spanner flats on each side. Still available from Marzocchi as they're used on current forks.

Part 15 pictured is not red , but bare Alu, no threads on it and pops on the end of the bit you see with the threads to the place where it is positioned.

IT stops the thin sliding part going through the bottom of the fork. You then tighten a silver nut thing from outside the fork onto the threads there.

Guess i'm going to need a picture

It's part 20 in this picture, which is not obvious but actually pushes over part 30 and the o-ring part 31

Ok.. if you were to hazard a guess as to which side of the forks in my pic might harvest the right part.. which one would you plump for??

I'll get the adjustables out and take a peek . . .

both side would have it (they are identical on mine though the picture doesn't show it), but I don't think yours actually will from a look through a manual for a fork that had that sort of looking crown... I forget the model but was 2006 ish ?
:(

Might get some Alu and find a way to make one.

They are unidentified.. but late.. '06 could be about right..

But they're pretty much scrap so I thought if there was a fair chance, I'd rip 'em to bits and have a rummage inside ;)
