Boardman Bikes at Halfords

i thinks its lgf thats talks of halfords bumping the price to make it look like a bargain when on 'sale'

thats just standard retail practice.

if you applied for the voucher before the price increase they will honour it. or go for the aluminium version and buy some nice bits for it!

I'm edging towards the alu version.

the weight difference is tiny, same components, i think it looks nicer too. the boardman writing on the down tube is too big on the carbon, much subtler on the alu version

Apparently the price increase is all to do with the exchange rates between here, Europe and the US, most LBSs are losing money at the moment, and it's only cos Halfords can buy bulk that they're just about breaking even! It might cost you a bit more but please go and buy your bike at your LBS, support local industry and help stop Halfrauds putting the decent little guy out of business!!

P.s. No I don't work for a bike shop, I'm a gardener by profession!! Lol!! ;-)
