Black Trimble spotted in Swinley

Guilty. Sorry didn't stop. Was timing myself round the red route. On a different day I would have stopped for a natter.

You were certainly 'on it' once you came out of Red 10 - I know you had the advantage of rigid (look for the excuses now!) but you dropped me like a bad smell. You local to Crowthorne??

yes Crowthorne area. Also like to ride Box Hill and Leith Hill. QE2 Park good too. I don't ride between red gate 20 and 21. Hence we parted company. I thought it was a good . I don't normally ride with others

“Thundering Trimbles!!! ... Blistering Bicycles!?!”

Really cool to see hear reports of Trimble ( or any other retro machine for that matter) being fast and for fun off road. Very cool image too.

That cassette though!!!

tell me about it. The smallest 12 speed I could find 9-46 I can ride up Everest on that. Just spin out and go no where fast on the 3 big sprockets E-13 make this one. They make a 9-34 but that's 11 speed. Good news is that my baby weighs 14 lb 8oz only added a lb The 9 tooth sprocket is great gives me some speed on the flat and down hill with a 32 chain ring. May try a 34 cr next time. Love SRAM AXS . This isn't much of a retro Trimble as its 2005-07 version. The 2020 version are full 29er/disc etc etc. Also must remember don't go to Swinley on a weekend as just blocked by family groups & bloody e-bikes.

E-bikes - hate them. Especially as Swinley isn't what you would call hilly. NOt sure I see the point in riding one. I mean, it's like sending your mate out to do 40% of the trails for you - exercise by proxy!
