Re:

Hi.
Sorry I should have been more specific. I am looking for some for 5/16 axles as found on older hubs. I have a pair like the ones on the left but the chrome is not good. The cyclo copies on the right would be perfect for the build I am doing. If these fit modern hubs ( shimano e.t.c.) then they wont fit.If you had tried them on something like an old mailard then they might. The older axles are quite a bit thinner. Will have them please if they are for 5/16
Regards
Peter

Re:

5/16” is the really thin looking front.
3/8” is the wider rear.
9mm modern front.
10mm modern rear.
That’s a basic guide.

Re:

Thanks for that JM.Im gathering bits for a 1937/8 Baines ecolite build. Made in Bradford just before the war it was their fixed wheel model. Baines is famous for the flying gate now made by Trevor Jarvis and I got some copies of the original decals from him. The vcc library has a photocopy of a 1936 catalogue so I have a fairly good idea of the original spec ( mostly whatever you want )I am not rushing to finish this. More of a background project but I did build it up with modern stuff (1960/70 ) to try it and it rides well.Have now stripped it to start the build properly. If the cyclo copies were 5/16 they would do nicely. The gripfast ones would look a bit too modern. Thanks again for clarification
Regards
Peter
