Blimey and I thought I was too old at 51, came a real cropper a month ago, bled for three weeks from my side and fore arm! GF had lots of fun pcking my scabs off.
No I always run a double plus bash, why? once tried to cut my calf muscle off my shin with the big ring! The extra ground clearance is needed over the big tree roots up here and you just never use more than a 36 ring, its too twisty and rough. 36/28 or 34/28 is about perfect round here.

its alright for a garage queen or if you need a drive side arm plus the crack never moved on the bench test i run it up on a bb axle in a vice too 100nm and it didn't move or creak or crack so my guess is it queenable
