I’m a shimano boy. Always have been. Even biopace.

But what now? Continue with 10x1 zee and hope extenders - 11-42 and 30T - or go sram eagle?

Reliability? Durability? Feel? Image?

I’m like shimano, though converting to sram xo, though I might convert back to shimano xtr. I think sram is the best looking option and I think the most robust? But shimano is my go to when I don’t know what to have. 😅

Depends how deep your pockets are as the higher end Sram is decent but lower end hopeless. I'd stick to Shimano as it's better across the range (imo) and the 12sp stuff has the range of Sram and can be mixed with Sram parts.

SRAM Vs Shimano is a bit like apple Vs android. I've dabbled with SRAM and enjoyed xo and x9, anything lower is a bit pants. I have a gravel bike with 11sp rival which is really good. I'd still probably choose Shimano over SRAM when it comes to MTB gearing, the shifters are just nicer with the dual shift, though aesthetically I think SRAM win, but cable set up is more of a faff

SRAM every time. I find is easy to set up and easier on the £££
