Was the Sunn rider Miguel Martinez, who went on to ride on the road racing scene, not too succesfully has i remember.

i think Cadel Evans did more than enough to restore the honour of ex-mtb'ers on the road though!

Djernis used to always jump off and carry when it got steep. At least at every race I ever participated in that he also rode. Very different style of riding to what seems to be the norm these days.
