Bikes and... wait for it, wait for it, Churches!

I am currently on tour in Norfolk and Suffolk and went past this one near Southwold yesterday.

Covehithe, the "church within a church". I used to holiday in this area with my family when I was a kid.
I seem to remember the large church suffered a fire and the local community didn't have the funds to rebuild it on the same scale, so they rebuilt a smaller church attached to the original tower within the ruins.

I've found my smallest church so far – St Hugh's, Foolow. It was converted from a blacksmiths to a church in 1888, which must be a fairly unusual scenario. As much as it may look like a mere chapel, it is in fact a bona fide church.

St Hugh of Lincoln apparently had 'a deep and lasting friendship' with a swan (and is thus usually pictured with one, along with being the patron saint of swans, naturally).
