Everyone safe Tom?

Loads of livelihoods and homes ruined, but nobody drowned.
The river got over the flood defences half way up the high Street, rushed through town, then got trapped into a deep lake by the flood defences at the bottom of the high St.

Looks to me like the planners thought the floodwater would come up the monnow from the river wye, so the lower flood bank was significantly taller.

A small blessing I suppose, but when livelihoods are destroyed and belongings are damaged/destroyed/lost I imagine it would be hard to see a positive in any of it
Still a completely avoidable bloody tragedy however its painted up.
