Bike storage

The conundrum of too many bikes and storage raises it's ugly head again! (Kicked the car out of the garage to make way for bikes!)

Is hanging bikes on the wall by wheels okay? Could it mess the wheels up (truing)?
Wall hangers like these:

Done it like this for years - works well. The weight of the bike hanging from a wheel is far less than the load when you are sitting on it!

I have used them on a bike for a few years, there are ones with hard plastic on the hook that the wheel fits over than can scratch rims but you can easily put foam etc around it. Looking at the picture they appear padded.

I just slipped a section or two of road innertube over the hook to protect the finish of the rims......

Only thing to watch out for with these is either faired rims (old HED mtb rims for instanace) which you really shouldn't hang, or very aero CF rims, as you could have the possibility of some damage.

Cant go wrong with that price, holds up to 30 kgs each too !
