Bike numbers going down...ish.

Thanks to a very kind soul, I have managed to sell four bikes today! I now have fewer bikes than I have had for years, it feels good.
Also I have only two bike that need significant work doing. My 2006 Zaskar Pro and my M.Steel tourer. I am waiting for parts for the M.Steel so today was Zaskar day.
It was painted really badly with some black paint that was neither glossy and classy, nor satin and cool, nor matt and mysterious. It just looked shit!
I borrowed my daughter's nail polish remover to see what lay underneath and the paint seems to come off pretty easily. Here is the trial on the underside of the chain stay.
I have now ordered a litre of acetone to finish the job and then I will decide whether to polish the raw frame or paint it.

Seems the back plate was still flat in 2006!

Really strange hydroformed tubes though

Why don’t you start your own build thread and copy your last few posts? Much better than being lost amongst the musings on this one.
I wasn't really meaning to do much with this bike, I was really just going to part it out but then I got curious as to what lay under the black. So I really am not intending to do anything exciting with this. Also I tend to think there is not too much interest here in mid-noughties alloy-framed disc-braked stuff.
Thanks for the suggestion though, if it develops any further I may do that for the sake of tidiness. :)
