as spring is drawing in (yay) and the 'dryer' months are due, i got myself one of these the other day in preparation for the 'summer service and overhaul'...:

as i dont have a hose/outdoor tap/kitchen sink adapter....
works very nicely indeed - adjustable nozzle too - £4 off the bay.
just thought i'd share it with you folks.
i've yet to use it with detergent, but its made for use with weed killer/plant spray, so the plastic should be up to it....time will tell

Use these loads, mainly for G101 on the car (cleaning/degreasing solution), make sure you depressurize them after use, otherwise the seals start to fail :)

good tip! waiting patiently for weather to break in to 'summer' mode, then i can crack out the nos components i've been hoarding over winter! :)

I've got through a lot of these (not on bikes though).

They're good, but the cheap ones don't last long. The only ones that DO last ar the hoselock ones, and they'll outlast 3-4 of these.

:D

Very true.

I used to use them at work to spray diesel on our kit whilst tarmacking.
The seals in the cheap ones would last 3-4 weeks at best, the Hoselock sprayers would last upwards of 6 months.

The cheap ones will do the job ok, just don't expect them to last too long.

is there no bodge for repairing the seals? i did look to get a hozelock one, but i wont be using it so frequently, i'd think it'll be alright for the odd overhaul :)
