Bike Carriers roof or boot mount... talk to me

Where I live in Melbourne there are scant places to go for a decent blast unless you drive there. I will be needing some variety of contraption to transport said bike in one piece rather than shove it sans wheels into the boot, which is a no no anyway as it has a strut brace across the boot and its tiny anyhows.

So what does the RB massive recommend for my car.

Not sure a Mugen tuned Prelude would really look right with a towbar.

I would go for a high level boot mount on that car, unless you get a removable towbar fitted.

Tow bar is the best but a considerable outlay. Is a tow bar any use for other things? Next in line would be roof mounted if your using it fairly regularly. And last would be boot mounted, more chance of damaging your car and never really seem that secure. But fine for occasional use.

I have a roof mounted one just now, fuel and wind noise are the downsides but its very easy and quick to use and its out the way.

thanks chaps, I've got a Thule tee'd up on eBay we will see how that pans out. Pain in the arse having a coupe, must invest in a sensible car....
