Bickerton Portable, still with the plastic on the mudguards! Will post up some new pics when i get my sweaty hands on it.

Has LGF got one of these, I reckon he would have.

a portable bicycle , what will they think of next ?

looks to me it has some sort of folding device near the end of the tube
(i say tube (ecluding down or top) as it only has one!)

i think you could turn that into a sort of recumbent without too much
messing about

They're classics! Brilliant choice.

There are precious few road bikes that can match the weight of a Bickerton. A bit wobbly though.

Beat me to it...

The front wanders away from the back, and it's pretty disconcerting as you try to correct it all the time through impulse...

funny you should mention about painting it. I've started polishing the aluminium and getting the parts in I need, such as new Hermans cork grips a San Marco Regal saddle in Honey, some Jagwire silver cables and some funky MKS pedals, BUT the main frame has been calling to me in my sleep "paint meeeeee" Now what colour would you chaps recommend? Part of me wants to go a deep royal blue, or even ASBO orange... with Gil's mastery of graphics of course..

As she sits at the moment, my likkle Bikky

Graphics wise is was thinking something like this, with a union jack in the "I"
