BETD - Supporting us!

Senior Retro Guru
I would just like to say, in reply to a previous thread about postage that is now locked....

Rob and the guys at BETD are a fantastic. How many bike shops have the ability to machine up a part that normally when obsolete would have rendered your retrobike useless?

How many manufacturers, let alone bike shops, if you cut the seat tube too short on your Scott Spark Ltd [or any other integrated seat tube bike] would be able to rescue you and your very expensive mistake by making a perfect seat tube extension that you cannot see is even there, not even be able to feel the joint between the frame and the newly machined extension piece.

When I could not get a glacial bush for my fox shock [when they were quite unknown many years ago]... BETD made one for me.

When I had a problem with a badly faced frame that every bike shop said was un-fixable, Rob sorted it out at a very reasonable cost.

Rob and the BETD team are the unsung heroes of the ordinary guy trying to maintain a high end Mountain Bike long after the original manufacturers have forgotten you!

We need businesses like BETD, If you don't like what they do, tell them not us!

Cheers,

Chaser.

Yep - I have had similar positive experiences with them too. Not enough good guys/companies left like these...

Mr K

they did me a custom drilled front hub a while ago, 24 hole, everyonelse refused, said it wouldn't work. it's been perfect and they didn't take long about it either.

good guys 8) :D

Yeah I agree, complaining about a few quid postage was a childish rant and even given I have never used the these boys, I can see that they offer a great service and we would be poorer without them. Like the MP debate, it would be nice to see those doing a good job getting praise rather than concentrating on the bad 'uns. Good thread.

BETD are an awesome company. If you own a GT I-drive they will be your best friends as they make many of the parts that are now impossible to buy from GT themselves. I have only ever had good experiences with them and hope they continue to make parts for otherwise obsolete bikes for years to come. :)

hey barney- off topic, but you know that if you go into your profile you can add a feedback icon to your signature rather than have a link.
