Best V Brake Pads for M739?

Anyone got any recommendations for good (cheap) pads and holders for these.

I love Kool Stop Eagle 2's for Canti's. What do people run on V's?

Nice brakes! Can't you get Kool Stops for Vs?
I think Fibrax are pretty good too.

Shimano!

I ran out of brakes at Cannock and had to fit Azteks (all they had in the shop) they seemed ok for the afternoon........now they're noisy and grabby!

I think I tried Koolstops years ago, from memory they're quiter than Shimano but not as strong, not as impressive as Koolstops for cantis.

i've used WTB razor blades and avid rim wranglers

both offer face-plant good stopping

I use Aztec Red pads on the Kona. Have for years, never a problem. Last ages too. However last time they needed replacing they were hard to find, used Kool Stop soft compound pads instead. Rubbish. Very hard to setup due to their crap shape and absolutely rubbish mounting hardware. They also squealed like buggery at the first sign of moisture. Went to the effort of finding some Aztecs pronto...

I have just fitted some threaded kool stops to my V's...work a treat.

Sod it, went for the Kool Stop Eagle 2 Dual Compounds. At least i'll be able to directly compare these to the same compound on a canti setup, maybe i'll even decide that Canti's are just as good as V's
