Best games console....XBox 360

Kids love the Wii and Xbox 360. Kinect is very good... no PS3 coming through these doors and I'm traditionally a fan of Sony goods...

ps3+steering wheel+gt5 for my two penneth harry!.....for the kids of course!....

I have that setup and love it.

WII is the family favourite, there's one in the sales as of today. All the games are the same.

PS3 is the technical best, fantastic media player, free online. Yet to try the PSMove stuff. Movie playback is great on the PS3, downloaded DIVx tiny resolution stuff looks brilliant.

360 has the most games support and I hear the kinect? thing is good.

We got some serious gamers at work , they ribbed me for getting an 360 over the ps3 , One of them has just brought a 360 now

Also dont forgot both of them was offline for 3 months on ps3 after sharing there bank details with the world :shock:

I rushed out and bought a PS3 some 12yrs ago. Waited another 15yrs for GT5 which wasnt as good as Forza. I do miss the Playbox but the Sexbox has to beat it on price and variety!
Test drive 2, forza 3 and Fifa 11 and... more than ample to kill half a day!

i am enjoying reading this as I was asking the same question about 4 months ago, Here was my conclusion

Graphic and gaming wise the mere mortal is not going to see any difference between the two of them.

Online gaming is free for the ps3 but the xbox online is much much better less lag and better options with the xbox live (thats from ps3 owners too)

The xbox is cheaper for games and console

Only the ps3 has blueray

The biggest threat I found with Xbox was the Red ring of death problems, But speaking to lots of people and shops I personally had the feeling it was a problem more of the past with the older white models. Also how you treat your box and where you put it. Also the ps3 has its issues but seems to go under the radar more.

but the biggest thing that I found was all the opinions were VERY bias ...if your a SONY man you are to you die and the same with XBOX ...It was very funny like a big EGO battle . I think you can get sucked into the specs and which is the better etc but really your not going to notice.

I went for the xbox mainly because it was cheaper and wasnt interested in the blueray. Love it and have had no problems with it. Fully aware it needs air to breath and always keep it in open areas where its not going to get built heated up situations (like a tv closed cabnet). I am sure I would of been just as happy with a ps3 too

oooww another pull for the ps3 was it gets more named licensed games again not something that bothered me too much.

Forgot to add before that you get the classic Play Station controllers that are wireless and charge up straight from the system on the ps3. The X-Box comes with these giant horrid control things that eat batteries and simply feel wrong to use. :roll:

Yes really, but the fanboys will always find their gospel to believe in which ever side they fall on. The xbox is a better performer processor and graphics wise which is really what I was trying to say, I suppose unreplaceable lithium batteries might make the ps3 a nicer purchase though. don't believe everything you read on the internet especially when it comes out around the launch date.

edit, I just read that article!! it doesn't say that!

Maybe the PS3 has more processing power. The 360 has more available memory. It’s pretty much a net, net. The public perception of the PS3 was that it was much more powerful. To developers, they look even.
