Best flavour of Marzocchi Z2?

Following on from my Mag21 replacement thread, I'm pretty sure I want to get some Marzocchi Z2s.

Is there a consensus on which was a golden year / model or are all well regarded?

They're all good.

I had a set of lowly Z5s, and they were still excellent.

Decide the travel you want, then Air or Spring.

I actually think the Mag 21s are a very underrated fork - The marzocchis are just stiffer, with more travel, but the mag 21s are very smooth.

I just want a similar fork to the Mag21 so probably 65 or 70mm travel z2.

I'm actually happy with them but I need the lowers to try to repair my Paris Roubaix

Re:

Sounds to me like you're answering your own question. Just get a replacement set of Mag21's there are still n.o.s examples available.

I'd agree, and get a replacement set of legs for your mag 21s.

As you'll have them apart anyway, you can also do the 'long travel' modification to them ad get a bot more travel - made a big difference on mine.

I'm a light guy and the flex of the mag 21s never bothered me, plus, they have a very different charm and aesthetic to the bombers.
