well he might have brought it round in person   (that happened ot me once - bought an item one evening, it arrived next morning hand delivered by the guy selling) :D

I bought some Pederson brakes off ebid and they arrived 3 days later. Doesn't sound like much until you realise the seller was in the US! 8)

Nice Lava Dome Paul! You did break your £16 rule though!

It depends on how you interpret the rule. £25 for two bikes makes it £12.50 each doesn't it...?

The first is the aforementioned 1993 Kona Lava dome. 19" frame with original paint and decals in good condition with a few bits of rust. No dents or scratches to speak of but with the remnants of a seatpost firmly wedged in the seat-tube.
The bars and stem are missing but everything else, including the SS-5's and Deore thumbies are still there. The wheels look to have had little use, the Exage LT mechs are good, but the Sugino cranks are dead though.

The second bike is a 1993/94 GT Outpost Trail. It weighs more than the earth itself and is decorated with Altus and Tourney parts. Interestingly it had Saracen bars and stem fitted. But the really great part was that it has another set of Deore thumbies in reasonable condition too.

In summary, two sets of Deore thumbies for £25 with a couple of bikes thrown in to the deal. Expect a Lava Dome restoration soon.

So karma. I suppose that's what comes of being patient, polite and not overdoing it with the emoticons...

Finally, thanks to taffy for posting up the eBay link.

I sold a Halfords bike carrier for a car last year and the buyer paid instantly. I then noticed that he lived just across the road so I ran to the shed to get the carrier & sped across the road to knock on his door. To say he shat himself was a possible understatement.
